Chiharu OKANO
Starts learning classic ballet at the age of 4. At 18 enters Jan Women's College of Physical Education to study jazz dance and modern dance. In 1991 finds a mentor in Shoji Kojima and performs in many of his works. In 1988 participates in "Triana" of Ambulant Art Festival of Agency for Cultural Affairs. In 1999 awarded accessit in New Face Competition of Japan Association of Flamenco (category: solo performance). In 2005 attends the Flamenco Festival at Sai-no-Kuni Saitama Arts Theater with Yoko Komatsubara and Shoji Kojima. In 2007 takes part in Nacional Cultural Festival in Tokushima. In 2008 performes in the commemorative events for 400th anniversary of the ship La San Francisco tossed ashore in Onjuku, Chiba Prefecture, and the Friendship Mexico-Japan.
Kanako MAEDA
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In 1991 starts learning flamenco. In 1994 enters Shoji Kojima Flamenco Institute. Making a debut in
Memoria, appears in all of Kojima's regularly-scheduled performances. In 1996 wins Encouragement Prize at New Face Competition of Japan Association of Flamenco (category: group performance). Ayumi YANAGIYA
Born in Tokyo, learns flamenco with Shoji Kojima from her earliest childhood. In 1998 becomes a member of Ballet Shoji Kojima Flamenco. In 1998 participates in "Triana" of Ambulant Art Festival of Agency for Cultural Affairs. Making a debut in
Homenaje a García Lorca, appears in all of Kojima's regularly-scheduled performances. In 2004 wins Encouragement Prize at New Face Competition of Japan Association of Flamenco (category: group performance). In 2005 appears in
Sabigatana: Fantasy at Period of Warring States, a dance performance conceived and directed by Haruka Ueda at Tokyo National Museum, and the same year attends the Flamenco Festival at Sai-no-Kuni Saitama Arts Theater with Yoko Komatsubara and Shoji Kojima. In 2006 studies in Spain with Israel Galván. In 2007 takes part in Nacional Cultural Festival in Tokushima. In 2009 performes in the commemorative events for 400th anniversary of the ship La San Francisco tossed ashore in Onjuku, Chiba Prefecture, and the Friendship Mexico-Japan.
Mitsuharu SEKI
Born in Tokio in 1973.
