The dance-theater of Shoji Kojima and Daniel Proietto, first performed at Oslo Opera House in October 2016 and performed again at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts (University of Houston, America) on April 2017 and at the National Theater of Chaillot, Paris, France, on November 2017, will be performed at last in Shizuoka, Japan, in May 2018 in the World Theatre Festival Shizuoka.
This is a two-person dance play created by Alan Lucien Øyen, director and choreographer of Norwegian theater company Winter Guests inspired by the rich dance life of Shoji Kojima. The staff involved in the project is international. The young dancer Daniel Proietto is Argentine. Andrew Wale, cowriter of the text is British. The coproducer Wayne Ashley is American. The project started on November 2014 in France where we held a workshop at Caen/Basse Normandy National Choreography Center. Then we rehearsed in Oslo in May 2016 and Maryland (United States) in June and July, and we premiered the work in Oslo in November of the same year.
