- On August 19th at 22:00 NHK General TV will broadcast "Tsubasa Imai and Samurai Hasekura: a challenge to the great journey". It is a documentary which covers the opening ceremony to celebrate Japan Year in Spain held at Teatro Real of Madrid on June 11th. - Shoji Kojima is safe and all right in spite of the worst earthquake that hit our country. He has spent a night with some of our members (Machi Murata, Ayumi Yanagiya, Chiharu Okano, Junko Sujino...). When the first earthquake occured we was invited to a luncheon party held at the Spanish Embassy in Tokio with Yoko Komatsubara and Masami Okada. - On March 10th, 2009, Shoji Kojima received la Encomienda de la Orden del Mérito Civil (Order of Civil Merit in the Grade of Commander), handed by His Excellency the Spanish Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Miguel Ángel Carriedo, in the name of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain at the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo.
- The Spanish Embassy to Japan has announced today, February 24th, 2009, that His Majesty King Juan Carlos I will award la Encomienda de la Orden del Mérito Civil (Order of Civil Merit in the Grade of Commander) to Shoji Kojima. The ceremony will take place on March 10th at the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo.
